Considering Weight-Loss Surgery? Consult the leading surgeons in SoCal
May 4, 2011 by admin · Leave a Comment
United States obesity rates continue to rise and more Americans consider the possibility of searching outside of diet and exercise for a much-needed shedding of extra pounds. To date, there are two surgical procedures for weight loss: gastric bypass surgery and banding, also known as the lap band surgery. If you’re considering the latter, and live in Burbank, CA, you might in be in luck.
In the past, if you wanted to undergo lap band surgery, you had to meet strict requirements. However, if you have a body mass index as low as 30 and at least one weight-related medical issue, you may be one of an estimated 11 million more Americans who are eligible to receive the lap band weight-loss surgery, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The Food and Drug Administration announced in February its approval to provide the lap band surgery to patients who are significantly less obese than those who traditionally use the device. The Los Angeles Times reports that overall, an estimated 37 million Americans now qualify to receive the device.
Although the lap band surgery has been reported to have less initial complications than the gastric bypass surgery, it is still a complicated surgery which requires top-notch surgeons. This is why we’ve scoured Los Angeles County to find the top bariatric surgeons in the area, and came across Love Lap Band located in Southern California.
Love Lap Band consists of talented and experienced surgeons. The staff is known for providing unmatched compassion and level of care. The team welcomes all patients (including out-of-state patients) and gently guides them through every phase of the weight-loss surgery process, including thorough (and free) consultations as well as post-operation appointments and follow ups.
Deciding on the lap band weight-loss surgery can be an overwhelming journey. People considering the surgery have to consider the risks and benefits. This is why it is important to consult the right clinic. To schedule a free consultation with Love Lap Band, please call (909) 944-BAND.
